Captain Hook escapes a fate worse than death.
The Escape of Captain Hook
By
E C Wesch

In the snap of it's jaw, Hook departed for good.
The lost boys cheered, loud as they could.
Setting sail on, the open sea,
a pirate's life. for the boys will be.
As freedom,and laughter, now abound,
Peter's ship, lifts off the ground.

The croc had taken the captain away,
In it's belly now, Hook will stay.
Now Peter and his youthful crew,
Sail in the sky, of deepest blue.
Through the clouds, high in the air,
Freedom abounds, for those who dare.

But in the belly, of that old grinning croc,
The captain wound up, that loud ticking clock.
He set the alarm, to go off every hour,
Now Hook's in control he has all the power.
The croc went insane, it thrashed all around,
From the headache incurred, by that terrible sound.

The croc writhed in pain, and opened his mouth,
That's when the captain, finally climbed out.
His freedom was joyous, as he gulped in fresh air,
Cursing the boy, who put him in there.
"I'll get you for this, yes I will Peter Pan,
'Til next time we meet, on sea or on land."

He swam toward the shore, where he met Mr. Smee,
Thankful a meal, for the croc he'd not be.
He gathered the pirates, a speech he did make,
While the clinging sand, off his clothes he did shake.
"I beat that old croc, with it's tickety-tock,
Now I torture it back, with the alarm of that clock."

"Aye," said the captain, "My life I did gain,
And Peter's the one, who will soon feel the pain.
I have lots of patience, to stay here and wait,
When Peter returns, I will then seal his fate.
A surprise he will get, when e're he comes home,
From Captain Hook, no more will he roam."
