A piece about the joy of time for oneself.
Under a lovely blue sky, the trees speak to me,
And a carpet of lush grass cushions my feet.
The chirping of birds mix with the sound of the sea
And I enjoy the solitude, an old tree stump becoming my seat.
Perfect, peaceful pictures take place inside my memory;
Squirrels and rabbits play, sharing with me paradise
As I immerse myself in this special time, just for me.
Breathing the brisk, brillant air, I close my eyes.
Like a comforting warm blanket is my time alone;
I delight in these moments, so fresh, so pure;
This time is priceless, what I can call my own
And so I cherish it, my so infrequent visits here.
How I love this time, this time just for me,
Where I can sit, breathe, and simply just be.
