The Girl discovers her first transformation in this Chapter.
"The First Transformation"

Anya took a quick glance around her surroundings. She could hardly believe it herself, merely an hour ago she was in the museum with her father. She remembered declaring that she would be willing to do anything to get him back. It was only moments after that when the medallion spoke to her once more and gave her specific instructions on what she needed to do to get her first transformation. Anya had no clue what her first transformation would be, or how it would help her. The Medallion in it's mono-toned voice reassured her that this form could be helpful in her task.

She then went and remembered the strange things the medallion had ask her to do. First was for her to circle around a suspicious looking hole nine times, the second was to eat only a partial portion of her food as well as drink. The third task was to
sleep without any bread near her. Anya found these task a bit odd, The medallion had told her the task were important clues to discovering the form that she will be taking. When she asked the medallion if it could help it spoke clearly and said. "I Can not help you once you arrive at your destination, it will be up to you to discover what your form is." Anya was scared of the fact that she had to do this alone. She never liked being alone at all ever since her mother passed away. She knew that this could be the only way to return her father back to normal.

With the thought of her father being back to normal and with her again she finally went to sleep. It was when she awoke she found herself in amazement at her surrounding. She was no longer in the museum, she saw nature all around her. Anya could even smell the flowers, the grass and even the water. She felt a bit different as well she couldn't quite put her finger on it though. As She looked around she found out she was inside a gigantic tree. "This world must be some sort of world of giants." She thought. Anya thought a bit about the clues she had received. "I circled a suspicious hole nine times, left some food on a plate. Then I stayed away from bread. I wonder how they fit together." Anya continued to think about those clues for a few minutes before she finally spoke out loud. " The Form I am to gain must be allergic to bread!" It was once she proclaimed that she heard a voice laughing.

" You're the one wearing the medallion?" The voice said. Anya looked around but could not find any one there. " Who's there, I can't see you." She asked. The voice then giggled before answering back. " That's the whole point, if you saw us you would know instantly what we were, then again if it was still sunrise or sunset you might of got a sneak peek of us. That is if you were awake at that time." the voice said. Anya thought to herself for a few moments before she went and asked. " That's another clue about what you are isn't it?" The voice then responded back. "Yeah, Duh!" Anya had now gotten another clue yet still hasn't found out what mythological creature it was.

"Do you mind if I ask you a few questions?" Anya asked. The voice giggled in response. " I don't think you'll have time, there's a dung beetle with a huge pile of dung running right towards you!" Anya went and looked and surely enough she saw this dung battle heading right towards her! She went and ran outside as fast as she can hearing the voice laugh a long the way. "How do I...get it...to stop.....chasing me?" Anya said while panting. The voice just laughed before responding. "Why Don't you just let it hit you and become the Dung Queen Warrior!" Anya was annoyed at the voice now. She was getting tired and all the whoever it was laugh and make a joke about her predicament. "This isn't funny!" Anya yelled. She continued her run for quite awhile eventually she found a hill, she went up the hill using whatever was left of her strength. The dung beetle fortunately for Anya didn't go up the hill and instead turned the other way.

Anya wiped the sweat off her brow. "Whew, I out ran it long enough." The voice spoke. "Since you out ran it I will tell you my name. It's Swift." Anya yelled. "First you make jokes at my inconvenience and then you tell me your name? Do all of you have such a weird sense of humor?" Swift then yelled happily. " Yay! you figured out your next clue, yet still being a bit clueless and a slight humorless." Anya calmed herself down before responding. "I am not humorless Swift, I just don't have the time to be the butt of the joke." Swift laughed hysterically. "You said butt!" Despite all of Anya's efforts she had not seen Swifts form even once with all her running. She was now a bit annoyed at the thing whatever it was. Anya thought hard and carefully and discovered another possible clue. "Is it possible that I could have been shrunk?" Anya thought.

"Swift my size is also a clue isn't it?" Anya asked. Swift couldn't reveal herself to Anya yet as she had not discovered what mythological creature he was yet. " It is, better hurry you only have until the end of day to figure it out." Anya continued her journey. As She continued walking she came across a rather big obstacle A river. Anya took a look carefully at the river unfortunately at her size it could mean her demise if she fell in. "This will be easy for me to get across, but how will you?" Swift asked while still hiding himself. Anya continued to look around for a way across the river, fortunately she managed to find a way across.

Anya had saw some dragonflies near the river which gave her an idea. " I'll catch a ride on one of those dragonflies and have it take me across the river." She thought. Anya carefully went towards the closest dragonfly to the lake and her. She carefully awaited before she finally managed to jump on it's back. She struggled first as the dragonfly tried to shake her off. "NO Way Am I going to fall in!" Anya declared. She held on with all her might eventually the dragonfly was across the river before she even knew it. Anya took the chance and jumped off the dragonfly now that it had done what she needed. "Whew, That was close fun too." Anya said. " It was fun to watch as well, you should try to have more fun." Swift said. "I still need to figure out what you are to save my father, I can't waste any time." Anya said in response.

Now that she was safe across the river she continued on walking. "We're almost there, just a few more clues then I think you'll figure it out." Swift said. " Really?" Anya asked. "Depends on how dense you are." Swift responded. Anya thought about the river and decided it was also a clue, but one very important one. She remembered Swift telling her that it was easy for him to cross. "The only way for Swift to cross the river easily at my size would be if he had wings. She thought. Anya was finally figuring out what he was. She wasn't too sure of it yet so she decided to ask Swift a question. "Are you a benign creature?" Swift responded quickly. " Maybe, some of us are benign, but others of us can be quite malicious." Anya responded quickly. "Most of the time your kind is mischievous isn't it"?" Swift quickly asked. " If you know that, you should know what form you'll be taking. Will you say it now?" Anya knew that swift had given her enough clues and now she was very confident in her answer as she spoke. "You are a fairy aren't you?" She asked.

"Are you sure about that answer?" Swift asked still hiding himself from Anya's view. "Yes I'm Sure. There's no way you'd be able to easily get across that river without some sort of wings." Anya said. Swift then smiled as he began to reveal himself. "You Finally discovered it! It's about time. I was worried I would have to hide forever." he said. Anya got a good look at Swift for the very first time. She saw his brown hair, hazel blue eyes, and his slightly muscular build. Swift was wearing nothing but some kind of red leafed shorts and his wings were a bright red, bordering close to pink. His wings despite their color were similar to that of the dragonflies. "Wow! you look amazing!" Anya said. "What is this your first time seeing a fairy?" Swift asked. Anya quickly responded, " Yes it's my first time."

"Well then allow me to re-introduce myself. I am Swift one of the fastest fairies around." Swift said. " My name is Anya it's nice to meet you." Anya said. " Anya that's your name?" he asked. Anya nodded as she spoke. "Yes, Anya is my name." She said. "Well it's a good name for you, do you have any questions for me?" he asked. " I do actually, I may have figured it out, but there's still something I don't understand. Why did I have to stay away from bread?" She asked him. " That's an easy one long ago people use to put bread in the basket they carried there babies in to prevent fairies from abducting their child. At least that's what the people believed at the time." He answered. "So in other words I had to stay away from it in order for me to be brought here? Anya asked. " Exactly." He continued. " A lot of the things you did earlier before arriving were part of the myth with fairy, or at least what most believed. Circling a suspicious spot nine times, people did this to place where they suspected a fairy might be hiding. Leaving some food on your plate for fairies as an offering is another." Anya realized that most things she did were related to fairy myth's. " Well I guess it explains your bizarre sense of humor." She said. " My humors not bizarre, humans just don't have a correct sense of humor."

Anya and Swift continued traveling until they finally reached the tree. "Well here we are." Swift said. " Exactly why am I here?" She asked. "Well the first reason was to discover our form, but there's a second reason as well." Swift continued to explain. " Here is where you will acquire your form, it will take the rest of the day to give you a bit of training on how to use it though." Anya looked at Swift with a puzzled look. " Training? I thought I'd just get the form and poof now how to use it instantly?" Swift then responded. "No Such luck, you'll learn a few thing about fairies as well. It wont take that long in fact it will be quite fun as well." Anya decided that the training would probably be useful and decided to bear with it. " Okay, but how exactly will I get this fairy form?" She asked. Swift smiled as he answered. "You'll drink a nectar. Once then you will imagine what you look like in your fairy form and then the nectar you drank will transform you into that image." Anya looked at Swift and gave a small smile back to him. " I Think I get it, but why didn't you just tell me when I first arrived I needed to do that?" She asked. "You didn't ask. "Swift quickly responded.

When Anya and Swift got inside the tree she saw many fairies of various different forms waiting. Many of them had various wing colors, some didn't even look like fairies at all. Some of these fairies had various faces and looked more closer to goblins especially when compared to Swift. "Why do you all look so different?" Anya asked. "They look different because they were born at a time where fairies weren't exactly considered to be human." Swift answered. All of the fairies nodded at that. "Indeed Swift is a fairy that is only sixteen years old. A fairies life is a long one lasting for hundreds of years. In some rare cases possibly thousands." Anya looked around for the fairy that spoke, but could not find her. " Excuse me miss what's your name? I can't see you why is that?" Anya asked.
"My name is Tulip, You can't see me because of what type of fairy I am. I can only be seen at the hours of dusk and dawn." Tulip continued. " My presence is not why we are here today though, it is now time for you to drink the nectar which will provide you with your fairy form."

"You're right, we should get that done first." Anya said. "Then Follow Swift he will lead you to the nectar." Tulip said. Anya went and followed Swift towards the nectar, it didn't take long before they had reach it's location. "Here it is drink from this and imagine your fairy form and then we can move on to the training. Anya went to the pool of nectar and put her hands in the form of a cup. She then reached down into the nectar and put her hands in it, she lifter her hands in their cup form out from the nectar and raised them towards her mouth. She drank the nectar from her cupped hands while imagining how she would look as a fairy. As she imagined her form she began to change, she imagined herself with a fairy with light brown hair, green eyes and in some sort of light blue dress with wings similar to that of Swift's wings. She felt the transformation as she began to change into her fairy form. "Well how do I look as a Fairy Swift?" She asked.

"Amazing..Simply Amazing. " Swift answered. Anya then went and took a look at yourself, she saw how she had changed. She then went and tried to use the wings on her back, but they didn't seem to work, Swift had a puzzled look as he saw Anya concentrating very hard. "What are you trying to do?" He asked. "I'm trying to get these wings on my back to work, but they aren't working." She answered. " You are trying too hard." Swift said. "What do you mean trying to hard, don't you just have to concentrate and then you just fly?" Anya asked Swift. "No It's not like that, just have fun." Swift answered. Anya quickly asked. " I have to get back, quick why do I have to have fun?" Swift responded swiftly to her question. " If you don't have fun, you wont be able to help your father." Anya thought of many things but having fun while her father was a statue, it was just something she couldn't do alone. That is when Anya realized she isn't alone there are other fairies here including Swift. "Perhaps, Swift and the others could help me." She thought. "Swift can you and some other fairies help me have fun so I can fly I can't do it alone." She asked. " We can do that and much more. I think I have just the game in mind." Swift smiled mischievously.

"It's simple really all we have to do is have a dung ball fight." Swift said. Anya shivered at the thought of holding dung and molding it into a ball and throwing it at people. "That doesn't sound fun to me." She said. Swift ignored Anya rushing towards the nearest pile of dung quickly picking it up and aiming straight for her. "Too late, we're going to have it whether you like it or not." Swift said. He quickly threw the ball of dung towards Anya, luckilgy she easily managed to dodge it Causing it to hit another fairy nearby. "Hey! Who ever threw that is going to get it!" The other fairy quickly saw that it was Swift who threw it and quickly threw another at him. Swift dodged the dung ball causing it hit someone else who then joined the game.

Eventually almost every fairy there was covered in dung except for Anya and Swift. Anya realized that Swift was going to try to get her to join in the game no matter what it took. She then decided to join and aimed a dung ball at Swift. Swift quickly dodged it, which caused the same repeat process. "HA! You'll have to better then that!" Swift exclaimed. He then went and started flying, "I didn't get you on the ground but there's no way you're escaping when I'm in the air." He said. Anya was being chased by Swift in the air while dodging the dung balls. It wasn't easy unfortunately now she was cornered and there was no where she could go. "Give up?" Swift asked. "No!" Anya responded. Swift and the other fairies surrounded her and threw all the dung balls at her. She then without thinking flew in the air for the first time. "I'm flying now, wow I didn't think it would feel this good to fly." Anya thought. Eventually the only to left in the game were now only Anya and Swift. Both of them were determined to be the last one standing.

Swift quickly flew outside while dodging Anya's throws. Anya went and chased him for quite a bit. Being her first time flying it was a bit hard to keep up with Swift. He flew very fast and Swiftly. Anya continued chasing him until she finally managed to hit Swift. Swift then slowly descended to the ground. "Alright, Anya you win." He grinned. " The games over now right?" Anya asked. Swift nodded his head, "Yep the game and your fairy training is over it's almost time for you to go." Anya was a bit saddened that her time hear was almost over but she knew she had to get back soon. "What is it you need me to do?" She asked. "Promise us that you'll try to have fun no matter how difficult things get. You'll do that wont you?" It didn't take long for Anya to answer Swift's question. "I promise I will try to have fun no matter how difficult things get." She said. Swift gave her a gentle smile, "Good Now it's time for you to go home and face, whatever turned you're father to stone." Anya nodded and gave Swift a friendly hug. "I'll Kick it's butt!" Anya exclaimed. "To go home all you have to do is head back to the tree where you first started, once in there just fly up and you'll be home." Anya waved bye to all the fairies including Swift as she went towards the tree where she first arrived.

It was easier for her to get to the tree now since she could fly. Once she had managed to get to the tree she arrived in she flew up just like Swift said. As she flew up she saw a blinding flash of light. When the flash of light was over she saw herself back in her original body and normal sized again. "You unlocked your first transformation." A familiar monotone voice said to her. "I did, now it's time to stop whatever is turning people to stone." She told the voice. She wasn't exactly sure how she was going to stop the creature, but she was willing to try anything.

"Now that I have the fairy form how do I activate it here?" Anya asked. "Just say Mythos Transformation with the word fairy in front of it and you will change." The monotone voice said. Anya wasted no time and said the phrase. "Fairy Mythos Transformation!" She exclaimed. Once she finished saying that the Mythos Medallion glowed and began changing her back to her fairy form. The Medallion's shape changed from a Medallion to a shiny green gem. "You told me this form would draw the creature out? So do we wait for nightfall now." She asked. "No it's already sunset you have been gone for a total of one day." The Voice said. Anya waited for about an hour as a fairy before she finally saw the creature that turned people to stone.

She examined the creature carefully as she saw it had reptilian scales and walked on all fours. The creature was gray and had a tail. "That's the creature that's been turning people to stone?" She asked quietly. "It appears so,although something is a bit off about it." The voice responded. Anya watched the creature carefully when she noticed it seemed to be looking for something. "The creature must be looking for me." Anya thought. When the creature left the room Anya quickly flew behind it cautiously. "What is this thing?" She asked. " I have determined that it is a Basilisk, although there is one strange thing about it." The Voice continued. "It is not leaving a trail at all which brings me to the conclusion that it is a False Basilisk.

Anya continued following the false Basilisk. A recently hired guard managed to get in the way of the creature, Anya continued her observation as the false Basilisk bit into the guard. "Once the creature bites into it's prey the guard is turning to stone." Anya said. "Further proof that is false, a real Basilisk would simply be able to turn it with a single gaze." The Voice said. "However now that it's bitten someone it's bound to be drooling now." Anya nodded and revealed herself to the false Basilisk. "Hey you! Come and Get some if you can!" She yelled. The false Basilisk then let out a low growl. Anya looked around and saw five more Basilisk come out. "This Can't be good." She said. Anya tried to fly out of the room, unfortunately she found herself trapped.

"Great, I'm trapped what do I do now." She asked. Unfortunately the medallion didn't have time to answer as one of the false Basilisk leaped towards Anya while drooling. Anya instinctively shot some kind of strange magic ball that stunned the creature. "Quick Anya that Fairy bullet wont last for much longer, hurry up and get the drool!" The Voice said in a non monotonous sound. Anya hurried to the stunned creature and gathered it's Saliva. As she was gathering another of the false Basilisk tried to get Anya luckily she was able to quickly fly out of harms way, which caused it to hit the other False Basilisk she had recently gotten saliva from. Anya watched as she noticed when the two false Basilisk hit each other, they both disappeared. "If the remaining four hit each other then they will disappear as well." Anya thought. "Come get me if you Dare!" Anya teased the false Basilisk. Two of them chased Anya while the other two were guarding the exit. Anya flew as fast as she can towards the Exit hoping to get rid of all four at once.

Unfortunately her plan only worked halfway as the false Basilisk guarding the exit managed to hit each other causing them to disappear. "Not Exactly what I planned, but there's only two left now." Anya said. She now had to get the other two to bump into each other. This was proving to be quite the difficult task. Anya decided she needed one to lose her in order for them to bump into each other. She then went and flew towards the Jurassic Exhibit. "One of them is bound to lose me in here for sure." She thought. Her plan worked as she noticed only one of the false Basilisk was following her. "Now time to make the other one find me again." She said. The Other Basilisk surprised her by jumping off one of the dinosaur models to attack her. She quickly dodged left and shot her Fairy bullet at the other false Basilisk. With one creature stunned and the other in the air the remaining two of the false Basilisk disappeared.

"I did it! I beat them." Anya exclaimed. "It's not over yet, now we have to make the antidote for the people." The Voice said resuming it's monotonous voice. Anya listened to the voices instructions and made the antidote. Once the antidote was finished she used one drop of it on every statue that was said to be a person. Anya saved the final drop of antidote for her father. As the sun began to rise everyone that was turned to stone began to turn back to themselves. Anya quickly ended her transformation as her father was released from the curse. "Anya what are you doing in here?" He asked. "Dad!" Anya exclaimed rushing towards her father hugging him tightly. Curtis hugged his daughter back. Once Anya was back in her own room she once again spoke to the medallion. "I guess our pact is over now isn't it?" She asked. "Far from it, chances our whoever created those creatures is likely to strike again. Keep me for now it will be useful to prevent any thing like this from happening again." The Voice from the Medallion said. "Alright I will." Anya responded. Anya then went to bed knowing that whom ever was behind the attacks would strike again.
