1/2002 Gramps can't understand that kids are the cruelest of all.
black child white child
the playground is the birthplace
for enemies born in youth
one up anything you can do I can do better

what'd you say boy what'd you say

gramps watches all the kids play or play he thinks
until his grandson catches the right cross
at the hands of an angry third grader
that isn't hearing his questions answered
is it because I'm not like you huh
the tooth fairy's pulling overtime tonight

answer me when I talk to you boy

gramps can't help but shake his head on the way
to the dentist for some emergency medical help
how can they hate my beautiful black grandson
he thinks
when he's not even capable of talking it out
