The adventures of two little girls
The Mountain

Ninja asked, “Stormy what are you up to now?”

Stormy considered it for a few minutes.

“You know Ninja I’m not sure.  I get tired of lying here on this bed all day.  Some days it's fun playing hide and seek with you. Today I just seem to have an interest in trying something new.  I want to explore the house some more. It could be fun climbing that big mountain over there. What do you think?”

Ninja sat still and thought about what would be fun today.  She had a restless night last night.  There were far too many disturbances, and she was still tired.

“Why don’t you go climb the mountain today?  I’m going to go back to sleep.  Maybe we can do something together later on today or this evening.”

Stormy nodded her head yes, and decided it was time to climb the mountain.  She worked her way over to it using all the stealth moves she knew. She used her speed to run up to objects to hide behind. She did not want to attract attention to herself.  She used slow crawling, and quick dashes to work her way up to the softly colored mountain. The color of the mountain today showed it to be wearing a light blue top with dark blue bottoms.

Stormy switched her tail and snuck in closer. She lowered down, and with a mighty leap she jumped up onto the mountain.  The mountain grabbed her and started petting her.

She thought, This is all part of my plan. Now if the human mountain would scratch between my ears, I’ll purr for him.

The mountain had watched the little gray cat, try to sneak up on him. He knew she needed her morning petting and ear scratching. It has become a routine between them every morning. Ninja never did come over for a petting.
