A tribute to the Fourth of July - a personal perspective - a poem.
Sagging due to frustration at work,
And so worn down by the in's and out's
Of an emotionally charged daily life,
I find this Fourth of July
To be extremely filled with inspiring worth -
Our nation's 238th birthday is as treasured
And personal as any in recent memory,
And for celebration and rewards,
Let us be most generous and grateful;
The freedoms we enjoy and the sacrifices being made
For that richly deserved blessing
Shall remind us of how valuable and lucky
A truly venerable soul can be.
