Who has the bigger stinger?
(w/c:  336)

Holding open the door to the limousine Roger caught a whiff of the French perfume Angela had dapped on her neck just before leaving her apartment.  He was determined to hold down the powerful desire he felt for her.  He had been hanging around that amorous lion for too long.  There was a job to accomplish tonight and any lust he felt now would just have to wait.

The limousine driver made good time in transporting them to the gala.  The outside of the building was aglow with sparkling lights laced through the trees.  The portico was draped with maroon colored streamers braided with twinkling lights casting a magical depth to the evening.

Escorting his Queen of Hearts into building they were greeted by a pair of costumed scorpions.  The male scorpion took Angela’s hand and bowed.  He secretively placed an opal ring on her right hand.  Angela made no acknowledgement of what she received.

Seeing Mr. McPhearson across the room Angela raised her left hand and waved to him.  Skillfully moving her through the crowd Roger brought Angela to Mr. McPhearson.  She gave her boss a hug and showed him she was wearing the pearl bracelet.

“Dear, would you like a glass of punch or champagne?” Roger whispered in her ear.

“Yes, some punch would be nice.”

“You look beautiful tonight Angela.” Mr. McPhearson pulling her closer to him  “I see one of my security scorpions already tagged you with an opal ring.”

         She looked puzzled.

“Not to worry.  I hired an extra security detail which have marked several of the patrons, as well as you, with a magnetic tag camouflaged within the ring.  If something unwelcomed occurs tonight, the security team will safely gather those tagged individuals to a safe room.  I am of the sign of Scorpio and my sting can be vicious when protecting my family.” Mr. McPhearson kissed her hand as Roger was returning with her punch.
