I wrote this tonight, My 16-year-old pet bird, Peanut died and my dad blamed me.
Life Happens

By: Austin Bates

Why are you blaming me?
It's your fault as much as mine,
There's one thing you need to see,
Learn from this, take your time.

Things happen,
There's not always somebody to blame
A death of a friend,
Are you not ashamed?

I don't understand
Why things happen like they do,
So quit pointing your finger,
Understand this too.

Would you kill a lifelong friend?
Would you want to take the blame?
We all die in the end.
And you should be ashamed.
