I wrote this one night when I was depressed. It won an award at my school.
A Better Tomorrow

Austin Bates

I once looked outside, and saw children laughing and having fun.
But now, all of that has come undone.

Now, all I see
Is a world filled with misery.

Day to day, it's getting worse,
We're dying out by our own curse:

Hate, torture, death, and despair
The world's turned into a living nightmare

Every day, the world comes closer to its end
Being brought by our very own sin.

And all we can do is pray
That maybe it will go away.

But don't drown yourself in sorrow,
For there's always hope for a better tomorrow.
