Assignment for Lesson 7 of Charting the Seas of WdC
1) How do I find contests to enter that feature the same genre I like to write?
Just type in "contest" in the search bar at the top right, and before hitting search, under "genre", choose your genre, and under "type" choose either forum or survey, because those are the top item types contests are created under.

2) Once I find them how do I enter one?
Read through the rules and regulations for the contest you've chosen, and then enter your piece by creating a new message and attaching your item as a link.

3) What are some of the benefits of participating in contests?
You get your name out there, and more people start to recognize your name. Additionally, sometimes the judges will leave a review of your piece, even if it doesn't win. Most contests also give out rewards for placing or winning, which can give you publicity as well.

4) What are some of the different types of activities here on WdC?
There are contests, auctions, raffles, discussions, events, and gatherings.

5) Who benefits from Writing.Com Activities?
Usually it's a mix of individual people and groups that may be in need of GPs.

. I thought I'd challenge myself and see what it was about. kiyasama was plugging it on the scroll chat so I went t check it out. Also, I saw it a few weeks ago when it was too late to sign up for the round. I learned quite a bit about poems and poetry from the challenge.
