A fight compared to the oceans and words that stabbed each other which can't be taken back
Emotions flood the deep vast oceans
happiness of calm
Pain of the rough seas
the tide of it all throws itself in and off the shores of our hearts
there's no taking back the swords of our words
we're left with the scarring of it all
we remember the rough seas
the waves that slap us around
we never get a break
but we forget when the ocean is calm and of glass
like a mirror, a picture of a happy time
that is rarely remembered
I wish I could take back the words I said that day
but the storm was brewing
my storm met with yours and we crashed
and the waves picked up and we stabbed each other with those words
I said I'm sorry, but it was too late
the seas are still turbulent
I don't know what to say or do
I've been searching for the calmer seas of happy memories
but seemed to have stirred and drowned them when I was passing through
I hope one day my storm will calm and yours as well
so we can see the mirrored seas of happier times
