It's the tale of a man who can't sleep for the entire night.
I haven't slept many nights,how many never mind,i don't know,

I find the lights too bright, even when I cover my face with a pillow,

I feel suffocated, maybe its my hardpressed mind!

Never before has light played such games,

I slip into this sleepless role every night

This mad man in the mirror even shares my name.

My eyes burn with the touch of icy water into flames,

I find the starlit window too bright

Someone could help maybe, just take the blame.

I speak on the phone without a break to realise

its just the voicemail,

I console my sleepless partner in the mirror

he anyways shares my room in hell..

I speak to the guard at times,he says its the same thing

i ask everytime...

"Are the lights really so bright?"

Standing in the cold shower till it runs dry,

I feel cold except for my burning eyes..

I feel the tune of running water different every passing day,

It compliments my sounds of withering away..

My pillows and books are good companions, just silent ones

in this silent game,

But the game of flickering lights stays all the same.

At night the clock slows its pace,

I grope to see if there are wrinkles yet on my unshaven face..

This game of hide and seek with the lights goes on still the same,

The friends keep changing, its me who is going insane!
