Sometimes I see humankind as machines, parts, increments, of something beyond our lives.

Upon
The switch
As always
His hand rest
Legions of his
Feral minions
Stumble around
Unaware
Unclear
That he’s there
Not knowing
Form and control
Unwilling it seems
Is the role
Of those who question
What they are doing
And why
They don’t belong
To each other
To him
Or themselves
They are alone
In a sea of nothing
Contained by something
Beyond each horizon
Past any obtainable distance
Or reasonable perspective
Devine is the right
Of the creator
And thus decimator
He answers to nothing
Most of all to his creations
And equally listed damnations
He won’t be bothered
How could he ever
His power and will
Upon a level
Unquantifiable
By mere mortals
Our minds
Pin pricks within
The confinements
Of his understanding
His brilliance only bested
By his omnipotence
We, you, us
Human in pairs
Thus singularity cleared
Reality for each of us
Must remain unblemished
Precise aptitude as always
Is required
A higher plane of existence
Is what we should aspire
So of course
There are questions
Wonderments really
Idealistic placations
That we would accept as is
Words from the divine
An institution to which
Many
If not all
Wish to belong
Membership is more than life
More than knowing
Or confessing an understanding of
Membership is a deity unto itself
An outright duplication
Of the alpha and the omega
There is only one true god
In this world of many lies
That we find ourselves
All of us will ultimately die
Not knowing more then we
Can wrap our minds around
Our eagerness to understand
Irrelevant and at times
To him, repugnant
Such oblivious bastards
Such subtle nuances
Do indeed
Make us distinguishable
Carbon copies
Clearly we are not
But rather slightly damaged
Inequalities of an equation
Left unbalanced
Left unchecked
An ungraded answer
Bound by servitude
And reasonable chance
God does love us all
As much as he should
As much as thought required
Such creation not wasted
But rather increased cases
Of uniquely adapted
Contrivances…
