His cat speaks expressly.
Imagine a cat in a Laundromat,
a cat that was okay,
except he had a lot to say.
His owner, Noon Day Sun,
would talk to him for fun,
while people washed their clothes.

Imagine a cat (and pure black at that),
who spoke as if he owned the place
(he’d get into Noon’s nice round face.)
The cat would cry meow,
but to avoid a row,*
Noon Day would put him OFF...

(dum dum dum)

...the black cat turned and talked to Noon,
(he had a lot to say.)
The washers went whirr
and the dryers spun on
in a typical Mat display.
The black cat went beyond a purr--
his words were a lot for Noon Sun.
A dryer wound down
and a washer began
with an attitude rightly won.

(Black cat turned and talked to Noon--
  Noon Day simply nonplussed.
  His ego dismissed
  by a feline highly pissed;
  Sun folded and put away.)
