16 Line Rhyming Poem Written For Poetry Contest
Winds of March have led to April,
Time will not let us be
I would choose some more to linger,
Another year to see

Thunder beckons from the hillside,
Child's laughter in the breeze
My heart with memories beating
A pain that will not ease

Storm clouds have gathered around me,
I did not see them there
Distracted commanding visions,
My mind no longer cares

Rain's pattern announces something
Red haired boy sings along
Feel a presence moving toward me
Laced fingers ever strong...
