When everything is quiet in the house, especially when the baby is sleep
House is a mess
Can't get anything done
Waiting for that moment

The calm after the storm
A bottle, a rattle, a pinky
Whatever will work

Rocking in our chair together
Singing a lullaby
Listening to the birds sing

Almost there
Eyes are getting heavy
Breathing slowing down

Little sighs and giggles
Almost there
Almost time

These moments come
But a few times a day
Nap time it is called

Nap time saves the day
