Lost in the roundabout
Roundabout

I entered the conversation
You made way and let me in
I paused, nervous hesitation
almost hidden by a grin.

People talked and interrupted
Hard to find myself a space
Our rhythm felt corrupted
Not in synch and out of place.

Though you twisted, dodged and parried
Others never left us be
Lost the thread, and I was carried
off to miss our destiny.
