Alphabetically Speaking each sentence starts with the next letter of the alphabet
Any day of the week you can find
Boys hanging out at the ball park
Catchers mitts and bats at the ready
Deciding which team they want to play on

Envisioning one day playing professional ball
Fresh face youths with fast running legs
Gracefully run from base to base
Happy to be young and on a winning team

Imagining trophy's and accolades
Just might be in their future
Knowing how crazy this town is about baseball
Let the recognition begins

May the baseball gods smile on me
Now that it's my turn, up to bat
One grand slam will get my name in the papers
People will remember my name

Quickly I smack that ball hard as I can
Ramming the ball into the cheap seats
Screaming fans cheering and clapping
Trumpeting my name

Urie ! Urie !, bring it home !
Viola, I run the bases like the flash
Winning the game by four home runs
Xanadu, I'm in Xanadu

Yes!, the thrill of winning in a big way
Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah, Zip-A-Dee-A
