I'm nothing special, but unlike most of you out there, I am highly conflicted.

This
Is not
Never
Will it
Or has it
Ever been
What
You think
Hell no
So open
Real wide
And inside
These words
Not I
Will climb
They
These words
Are sincere
Concise
Somehow precise
You will relate
Even if you can’t
You will understand
Even if you wish not
As the author
I have faith in you
But in nothing else
In the valley
Of dropping names
There are but a few
Those so fresh
Those so new
Those nubile and clean
Unmolested beings
Of a brighter light
They are doing it right
They are examples
Straight up samples
Of God’s perfected craft
You might just be one
Just maybe
But a man like me
No way in life
Or in death
Could I ever be
I’m a sarcastic
Version of him
God that be
I’m a cluster fucked
Being of pure darkness
And failing light
Perfectly damaged
Unsellable
Are such goods
No one wants
Nor needs
Straight up beast
In a world of many sheep
I will of course survive
While most will not
At least that’s the plan
Immortal bastards of intent
We always get to the point
Because we alone make it
Stabbing the hearts
Of victims in waiting
With baited breath
We are often deciding
For all but a second
Time is nothing wasted
Life is everything hated
In the valley
Of dropping names
We hang upon each word
When and will it be said
Dare will it be written
Untimely maybe spoken
Insane is such wisdom
God has a sense of humor
A crass way of expression
That he lends to but a few
He wants his darkness out
He wants his secrets spilled
And they
Those so different
People like me
Have come to know it
The ones reading
You out there
Get upset
Damn near hysterical
But in the end your faith
Is much stronger because
Another dared to challenge it
Directly questioning God
Is said to be a grievous sin
But indirectly questioning him
Is no kind of a valued sin at all
Writers are plenty
Fools are astonishingly many
In the valley
Of dropping names
We, they, writers
Are the creators of ideas
Beyond scope and detail
We wanna be heard
Even if for the most part
Those around
Have turned a deaf ear
The page is immortal
Living far beyond
Strives any creator
And every questioner…
