The natural world we can not perceive.

Is there anything as peaceful
as snow falling on water?

The world as we know it
is not the real world.
Much is hidden,
most we do not understand.

We do not grasp the beauty,
the violence,
the innocence or wisdom
of this planet we call home.

It is of great importance,
yet little use.
We can not change
what is meant to be.

Snowflakes scream
when they hit the water –
at frequencies too high
for us to hear.

Fish can hear –
and understand.
We stand and admire,
blissfully oblivious.

How is it that we
are the ones to judge?
