A demented, circle jerk of a poem, going nowhere quick. Just like me and my absurd ideas.

I’m a realist
And I deal in less
Then I often fake
All that’s left
I do near nothing
A real minimal
Minimalist
Devoid of any plans
Purpose, or solid ideas.

An overt nihilist
With no possessions
I deny myself
Less and less
Of this materialistic
Form of existence
I embrace true nothing
Zero, infinity to the left
Often I can be found
Spitting in the eye
Of everyone else’s something
Cold calling them on it
Saying both WTF and FTW.

I’m a realist
I’ve never been afraid
Nope, well not really
I do have fear
More in a general sense
More in a broader way
In a way that in no way
Makes me a pussy
It’s the truly unexplained
That’s what I’m afraid of
Scared shitless of really.

Simply, I just have to know
Then I have to understand
I can’t take anything on faith
I have to be absolutely sure
I’ve spent a lifetime of days
Pondering what I don’t know
And how to find it out
And I’m sure that from
This point on I’ll do the same
Because, really it’s all I’ve got.

I’m a realist
I comprehend
Thus vividly appreciate
That there are some things
That there is no answer for
But those things are easy
Because I can just make up
Some bullshit answers
I’ve come to now believe
In my heart and soul
That those kinds of things
Are fewer and fewer.

The ones that get my goat
That tighten my rope
Are the things that I know
Are without questions real
But we can’t posses them
Or effectivity explain them
We can hold them
And touch them
Molest them in every way
Shape, and or form.

We can build them
Thus destroy them
We are bound by them
But only if we wish to be
We swear allegiance to them
Then spend all of our lives
Doing what we can
To betray all that they are
Intangible are such ideas
Concepts, and or fears
We can, at will deny them
Even live without them
But we can never begin
To adequately explain them.

I’m a realist
In a less traditional sense
I’m here to know
Understand and act
Upon the foundation
Of said understanding
All of human creation
In a non-literal sense
Is for the most part content
All of it except for me
I just have to know
And thus understand
I often ask myself
Are such demands
Upon me so damn bad
That too, I just don’t know
But regarding both
I sure as hell wish to…
