I'm not sure about this.
I could draw your stick figure
And you could draw mine
And we could have them run away
to a saccharine paradise

What if behind every starry eye
There wasn't any pain or fear
And behind every smile
There was love and nothing more

Wholeness is what we crave
And what a price we would pay for it!
But you have your unsounded depths
And I have mine

We could dance on this easy edge
and ask for nothing more
But as you lean your head against me
I know I have fallen
