The Dog

The Dog

As I sit in my small spare bedroom, I have made into my office.

I am looking thru my emails and reading the writings on my writing.com page, trying to correct a few things.

My beautiful dog Cali, she is a Lab Dotson mix we got from the pound, comes into my office and stands there staring at me.

I look up from my computer screen, she starts to whine.

I look at my screen again trying to ignore her, she comes and nudges me.

I look up again, she is moving from one foot to the other, I reach down to pet her,

I ask her, "Do you have to go potty?", she starts to jump, barks. and heads for the door.

She does her business, and we come in from" outside".

As I do a little cleaning, she is laying on the living room floor, watching me. she doesn't let me out her sight.

Around noon, I go to take a nap. I just get comfortable when she jumps on the bed and looks at me. I tell her to lay down, We sleep for a few hours and she never moves from my side.

As I go about my day, she is following me thru the house, I head outside, leaving her in the house.

I hear her whining at the door, she does this until I let her outside with me.

I am getting ready to go run some errands, she sits by the door and watches me.

I ask her, "Do you want to go bye-bye?" She gets so excited, I open the door tell her to go get in the car.

She sits in the passenger seat, puts her head out the window, she is happy to be with me.

As night comes, and I'm getting ready for bed, Cali is already on my bed. As I climb in bed I tell her to lay down.

They say a dog is man's best friend, I say she is woman's best friend.
