Poem to show how I as a Christian feel about the cross.
When I look at the cross, at my Lord Jesus Christ,
I think of the faith for which it stands.
The teachings of love,
The teachings hope,
The teachings that save all of man.

When I look at the cross, at my Lord Jesus Christ,
I look at the wounds that he bears.
He bears them for love,
He bears them for hope,
He bears them to save all of man.

When I think of the cross, of my Lord Jesus Christ
I think of our strive to be holy.
To take up our cross,
To do good on the earth,
And to be like the Son of Man.

Our cross is our load, so heavy and cruel,
But without it we are left for the devil.
Our cross is our comfort, a sign of forgiveness,
And because of it we are free from the devil.

Jesus came to pay a price that he did not own, because we owed a price that we could not pay.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only son, so that all who believed in him could have eternal life.
