A short poem on life with chronic pain. I might expand on it at some point, maybe...
It can not be seen, for I hide it well.
In the darkness of night, I refuse to yell.
Accepting my fate, I no longer pray,
For it is my burden, forever to stay.

Strange how it seems, it belongs to me now,
I know it well and accept it, some-how.
Long have I known, it is futile to share,
For those that don't have it, won't know it, won't care.

Long have I suffered and suffer I will,
For there is no cure, just one simple pill.
Yet still it won't slumber, still it won't sleep,
Long will I suffer and suffer, I will.
