An attempt to explain overthinking
You set the trap of dreadful lies.
Then one seemingly random day, the blackness takes over your mind
And you get stuck in a what feels like a never-ending black hole.
It happens as soon as you notice it:
You soon forget that your soul is turning black.
The sweet light of happiness is fading...
You don’t know when you’ll ever smile again.
Maybe you never will as long as you live…

The things that once made you grin are gone once again.
The emptiness spreads throughout yourself:
Your eyes are dim,
Your heart beats slower,
You begin to act like as an observer.
Your bright light is covered by an overwhelming darkness.

The once cheerful person turned into a blur and was forgotten.
The cries for help were ignored.
This sadness is permanent.
The trap you set, you fell into.
It’s all your fault, but now the horrid lies are all true.
There is no going back and no turning around.
You are stuck in the pitch black blur of your own life.

The day you decide to break down a wall and open up to someone
Is the same exact day you learn the truth about the world.
They only care once you’re gone.
No one listens to the silent cries.
No one helps the weak.
You feel as if the pain is obvious to others.
But, it’s only seen by the people just like you.

They said just get over it or you have no reason to be sad.
But, you scream on the inside- YOU DON’T UNDERSTAND!
No one ever cares to listen.
There is nothing you can ever do but wait.
Wait for that hero that isn’t coming.
One person may attempt break down a wall.
It’s too late.
You helped everyone else, but no one cares about you.
You forgot how to feel emotions and what happiness is.
You forgot how to be a human.
You paste on a happy countenance day after horrid day.
You drown in your sorrows, alone, screaming from the inside.
Yelling for help as your vocal cords tear and you’re plunged into complete silence...
No one is coming for you. You are stuck in a hopeless darkness...
