Remembering all those special people who have moved on, into their next stages of life.
Memories of the Lost

As the song began to play, my face developed a smile.
It didn't take long for it to go away, only about a mile.
Faith Hill and her angelic voice remind me of my denial.
Every time I pick up a phone, it's you I wish to dial.

It has been three years and I am still stricken with grief.
I just don't think your truly gone, I'm still in disbelief.
It's like our creator in the sky above is some kind of a thief.
I can only speculate, it was time for you to turn over a new leaf.

You had a special, almost divine way to calm my fear.
Inside my mind I roam the universe, looking behind every sphere.
Every time I wish to see you, I must look into the mirror.
Then I spend the next hour or two wiping away the tears.

For the longest time, you let me use you like a crutch.
Relying on your teachings, your wisdom and such.
I never forget the warmth of your gentle touch.
I'd do anything to have you here, I miss you so much
