Gregory and Karrie go camping. It doesn't go as planned.

What’s So Fun About Camping

A car pulled into a packed parking lot. It went up and down three rows of parked cars. After about three trips through it, the car finally found a place to park and pulled into it. Gregory and Karrie got out of that car.

Gregory got out of the passenger side of that car and went to the trunk that suddenly opened. While Karrie got out of the driver’s side of that car he was getting the camping supplies out. She helped him before they headed into the wooded area behind them.

After walking for about a half hour they finally reach a small clearing. They stopped at three other clearings along the way. The first two Gregory shook his head no. Karrie showed no for the third clearing. Once they decided on a clearing they started pitching their tents.

Gregory looked up at the sunny sky and smiled. He went into one of the three tents and came out about a minute later with a fishing rod. After going over and talking to Karrie for a few minutes he headed left that campsite. As he entered the wooded area again he could see a small lake.

Karrie almost had the campsite set up by the time Gregory got back with four medium sized fish. Gregory handed them to Karrie but shook her head no. So Gregory cleaned the fish himself. Once cleaned Karrie cooked them. At least she did until a thick black smoke came soaring up from the pan.

While Gregory scratched his head and sighed as he looked at the burnt fish Karrie entered one of the tents. Karrie came back out a few minutes later with a cooler. She opened it up as Gregory joined her. The cooler was full of food.

After eating they sat around a small campfire telling ghost stories. They must have been ghost stories because Karrie spent most of her time hugging her knees with a blanking covering her head most of the time. A little later they retired to the third tent to go to sleep.

About midday the next day they went for a hike. They held hands and hugged each other the whole time they did it. Karrie put her head on his shoulders from time to time too. Gregory pointed out different trees, plants, and flowers as they continued their walk.

Karrie ran into the lake. Gregory was right behind her. They started swimming. The shoreline was lined with about two dozen people fishing. Gregory and Karrie swam around the lines that have been cast or were about to be cast into the water. There were about fifteen other swimmers.

It was night again and they were in their tent sleeping. At least they were until a growling sound woke them up. They huddled together as they saw the shape of a large bear from campfire light they had in their tent.

Early the next morning they exited the third tent. Gregory quickly went into the first tent while Karrie checked out the second one. They came out a few minutes later shaking their heads no. suddenly, they heard a growling sound again and they looked in the direction of that sound. An hour later they were ready to leave.

Gregory and Karrie quickly walked through the wooded area. Karrie was practically dragging Gregory behind her. They didn’t look around them like they did on their way in. just as they were about to exit the wooded area some more growling began.

The parking lot was in chaos. Gregory and Karrie weren’t the only ones trying to get out of there. Pushing and shoving their way around Gregory and Karrie finally found their car. They got in and locked their doors. Karrie starting to pull out of her parking place the same time as three other cars around her.

Karrie slammed on her brakes and pulled back into her parking place. After trying to leave several more times Gregory got out of the car. He stepped into the row to force the cars to stop. Once they stopped Karrie pulled out. Gregory got back in the car and finally left.
