A poem about those beautiful Celtic women.
From the lands of the forest to the hills of green,
Celtic women ruled the lands around Ireland
They weren't afraid to live out their dreams
and they didn't rule with an iron hand

Celtic women had their own customs and rules-
along with their religion, too
When it came to Celtic tradition, some people back then
didn't have a clue
Celtic life wasn't always a rainbow with beautiful catching hues

Celtic women lead men into battle
I would have loved to have been a Celtic Goddess or Princess
The Roman Empire deserves to have been rattled!

Celtic women could change themselves into animals or so
they say
Could this bizarre belief have been true?
A deer by night, a woman by day
Maybe this is one reason why Celtic women ruled.

Celtic women were beautiful, lovers, mothers and wives
They were respected, loved and greatly admired
I am sure they enjoy their well fulfiled lives
They were no doubt loved by their husbands and children-
and feared by leaders of the Roman Empire

Celtic women, we keep them in our hearts today
They inspire music, stories and the magic and fantasy of
those women who lived long ago
I am sure their spirits live on in Ireland as they enjoy the sun's rays
Celtic women, we love you as you are honored
and your stories will always be told!
