Thoughts as the British bombings cause another dent in history.
Numb, a feeling
Without feeling,
But not empty
Of perpetual emotion.

Cries from a double decker
And underground stations
Born of ages, echoes ago,
Born of kings and queens.

Life is as if 1066 were yesterday,
Or only the day before,
When soldiers wore wardrobe
And one could keep score.

Blatantly blasting bombs burn,
Quelled not by fire.
Hearts ache and yearn
At what has become another turn.

How can this be?
What has come to pass?
Walking through your day
Takes all you have.

To be uncertain
Is to be worldy aware.
But the earth's gone G8.
It's the wrong side that doesn't care.
