Come one, come all...Finally the great unveiling...that's right folks...it's Trish!!
So what did we get up to today...well apart from playing the piano with our feet we did a lot of shopping...Okay to be more specific I did a lot of shopping and Trish did a little shopping and a lot of following me around...Poor Trish.
I found some great presents for my family, especially a great pick your own features Mrs Potato Head for my Mum...she's going to love her!
I also got heaps of pics of landmarks around NYC, like the Empire State building and Tiffanys...these are mostly for my mother as well who was complaining I haven't seen any.

WICKED
Wicked was just amazing, if you have the chance then go and see it. I was so impressed with the songs, singing, acting, special effects, but most of all by the great story. If you have to chance to go and see it then what are you waiting for? Get tickets now...If I could I'd be seeing it again while I'm here!
DEFYING GRAVITY!!
We got a LOT of shopping done today and found some great bargains. Yes, the clothes I bought are black, but then so are Trish's! So let me be!!
After that we went to the spa and had a beautiful massage and facial treatment. <sigh> Just glorious. Would have been easier to find them if they had a sign up, but it's not their fault so I'll forgive them. Oh and how did the massage rank I here you all asking...well it didn't beat my unbeatable one in Thailand, but it's certainly ranks up there with the other greats I must say.
I still haven't gotten a lot of the things on my list, so I'll have to continue to keep my eyes open, but let's just say I doubt I'll have a shortage of books for a while yet.

Save me everyone!! Trish is reading to me from heath magazines!! Just joking, she's always got the best advice for that kind of thing. So it looks like I'll be going to the doctor when I get home to have a physical...Lucky me!
We went shopping today and I found the perfect gift for my sister! Trish has been making out with every dog we see, she says she misses hers so I suppose it make sense...kinda!! We also went to a pet store and I looked for somethings for Pharaoh...didn't end up getting anything though, maybe tomorrow.
I've really been admiring the architure here, the buildings are just amazing, I'd love to know some of history of them, but there just isn't enough time!! I'm definately going to start taking pictures though, forgot my camera today and that's not good.
Tomorrow is the big day! We're going to a great discount shop tomorrow, up to 75% off things!! WOOHOO! I can't wait for that, then we're going to the day spa...(insert another woohoo)...and in the evening we're going to see the musical Wicked!! (extra big woohoo) We're dressing up and no doubt NYC will be in shock by our beauty.

I'm here!!
I made it and it was the worst flight I've ever been on!! Yes we're talking turbulance, delays, motion sickness and rude stewardess...UGH.
But all of that doesn't matter now cause I'm here, and now I'm ready to explore New York!!
Have you got a WDC shirt? You really need to. I have a dream that one day I'll be wearing mine and someone will come up to me and say "Hey, you're on WDC?" That would be so cool!
And that was the best part of meeting with Trish...finally somone else was wearing a WDC shirt! Okay, it was even better to finally meet Trish (HAHA! I know what she looks like and you all don't )...but the WDC shir thing ranked right up there!

Getting up at 3am is probably why I'm so tired, and add in the fact that going to sleep at 7 is virtually impossible!! So I didn't get a lot of sleep last night. On a good note, I made great time to Sydney and arrived safely.
Question 1: Do you believe that I could actually sing for the entire 5 hours it took me to drive to Sydney?
So what have I been doing in Sydney? Well not much really...mostly watching Nigella cook and wiping the drool off my chin. I did go out and buy some books to read on the plane seem as the ones I ordered didn't arrive in time...but I didn't stay and wander around the shops cause I've got enough shopping to do in NYC!!!
Question 2: Will I manage not to miss my next day of blogging, despite leaving on a international flight that takes 20 hours?
2am start tomorrow...

And I'm going to get up at 3am tomorrow. <sigh> It's working though I think, I'm not so tired today. I'm suppose to be in bed now, but I've got jobs to finish and I can't miss blogging! So I'll just have to go with an hour less sleep, I'll be fine though...I think.
If you haven't already then you really should check out:

I drew this yesterday for the Army Angels Group...Just felt inspired I suppose, and the moment took me. Now I'm really far behind with getting ready to go. So I'm keeping this short.
I'm feeling pretty tired from the change of sleep times...I'm sleeping 8 hours but feel like I've only had 5 or less!!

I managed to get up at 6...I went for a walk and that really helped. Tomorrow I'm suppose to be getting up at 4am, I just don't see how I'm going to manage that! But I'll try, at least it'll be getting lighter around 5 so I'll be able to go for a walk again.
I'm so annoyed with my travel agent, they called me up this morning to say they had some important documents I needed for my flight. I called last week to check that everything was in order, and now they're telling me this 4 days before I fly out of Sydney! For all they knew I could have been in Sydney already!
I'm beginning to think I missed my true vocation however. When I went into the agent to get my documents, I was looking at all the pins on the wall's world map showing where all the various agents had been. I never even considered working in a travel agency when I was younger, but now I'm wishing I had...how cool would it be!!!! Access to all the best deals, and they can't be paid too badly if they can go to all those places, I don't care how great the deals are!

I'm a night owl...always have been, so you can imagine how hard it is for me to go to bed early. This week I'm trying to change when I sleep so that I can hopefully avoid bad jetlag when I get to NYC.
I have a plan (actually it's Trish's plan but I'm doing it so it's mine!)...by Saturday night (the night before I leave) I'll be going to bed at 2am NYC time. That's 6pm here and in summer that's going to be a hard time to go to sleep. The sun is very muchly still up. Last night I went to bed at 10 and I'll be doing that again tonight. That's not so terrible really, just have to make sure I do it. After that it gets hard, at 8pm the sun is only just setting. But if I close the blinds I might manage it...I hope.
Can I go to sleep at 6pm? We'll just have to wait and see.
Even harder than going to bed early, is getting up at a decent time, so I don't end up just sleeping longer! I'm far from a morning person...tomorrow I'm going to try going for an early morning walk, that might help!

No I don't mean that I'm going nuts...that happened years ago! I'm talking about this fruit obsession I seem to be going through at the moment!! It probably helps that so many good fruits are in season at the moment, strawberries, peaches, pears, grapes, passionfruit and bananas...I'm in Fruit heaven.
This is a big deal really because I'm not a huge fruit fan, I've always had to force myself to eat fruit, usually I manage to eat an apple, maybe a banana sandwich. And now it seems to be all I want!
I'm so excited, this time next week I'll be in NYC with Trish!! I've got the full on nervous/excited butterflies in my tummy and I'm not even in Sydney for my flight yet! We've got so many great things planned and I'm sure we'll be blogging all about it, so make sure you check back often next week for that!
Sadly though, going to NYC means I can't possibly have a blue month this month. I've had blue months for so long now that it feels just wrong not to have one! I'll live through it no doubt, but 22 hours on an aeroplane with no internet access...no WDC access...what will I do with myself?!?!?!
