I have no idea what I'll write in here. Anything and everything that occurs to me I suppose. I'll be trying to write in here everyday, and I can promise is that it will all be the real me.

Thanks to Kathleen for my little GG animation.

402.  How would you like to sleep with this?ID #482485

Just though you'd all like to see who I was sleeping with in NYC...so I drew him for you! *Wink*

Wasn't Trish generous to give him to me?

dragonfly~was across the world gave me some good ideas for what I can do with Pharaoh to try and train him, well more to dominate him...so I'm starting those straight away and hopefully we'll see a change in his behaviour. I really hope he improves. If he doesn't though, I think I've found a place for him to go so I don't have to have him put down. It's not my ideal situation, but it's better than doing that.

I really hope I don't have to resort to it though, I want this training to work SO much.

401.  My latest obsession...ID #482306
Posted: 1-19-2007 @ 12:26 am EST

I took Pharaoh to a different vet today. My normal one didn't hold much hope for Pharaoh's behaviour improving and actually thought it was most likely to get worse. Her solution was to have him put down. You can just imagine what my reaction was to that! On the other hand, things are just intolerable at the moment...

So I went to a different vet that my sister found for me for a second opinion. She didn't hold a lot of hope either, but she's contacting a behaviour specialist for me and I should hear something on Monday.

I feel like my heart is breaking and that I'm the worst person in the world all at once.

I just wish I knew the trick, the trigger to stop him behaving this way. I've been scouring the internet, but no one has any suggestions that I haven't tried.

I know I'm harping on this a lot, but it's kind of obsessing me at the moment...

400.  Settling back home...ID #482125

Well he's done it now, drawn blood I mean. Pharaoh attacked my arm last night, all four paws with claws out and teeth too. My arm is covered in scratches. <sigh> Let's not even go into the bum and leg attacks. <double sigh>

I gave most of my presents out yesterday, my B-in-law and niece weren't there, so theirs will have to wait a bit. Mum just loved her Mrs Potato-head and Dad his shirt. My sister went into escasies over the body spray I gave her, she loves it since I first got it for her, then she started worrying that she wouldn't like it now that she's pregnant...I just told her that she'll probably like it again afterwards if she doesn't right now. *Smile*

I had to go grocery shopping today, braving the crowds. The Country Music festival starts tomorrow and the town size has swollen to almost bursting point. I had to go so that I hopefully won't need to go again next week when things will no doubt be worse! I'm planning on hibernating for the whole week...if for no other reason than this horrible heat, bring in crowds and it's unbearable!

Pharaoh has grown so much! He's gotten really big and is gorgeously silky...who knew he could change so much in two weeks! Unfortunately, he's less cuddly. He gave me a big one when I went to pick him up from my sister's place, but since then he's been running around like a loon and if I try to stroke him he either bites or scratches me. Perhaps he's telling me off...but he had started this behaviour before I left and it just seems to have escalated. <sigh>

He really loves the toys I got him in NYC...I only let him have one of the three though. Just put them all out and let him choose. So he now has a frog to play with...or more like go crazy with. *Laugh*

Now that I'm home I'm going to dinner at my parents tonight to give them all their gifts...well all the ones who are there anyway. *Delight* I love giving presents, especially when I know they're going to love them. I can't wait to see Mum's reaction to her Mr Potato-head!

And so the chores continue...yes Trish challenged me to write another story in the chores series (or was that me and Trish bugged me...I don't know!), so here it is for you to enjoy. Make sure you let me know what you think...unless you have a problem with this kind of stuff...then don't cause I didn't write it for you!! *Laugh*

I was going to go into everyone's blogs today and catch up. *Yawn* But I can't seem to find the energy...so I'll have to do that when I get home. Love you all and have patience please. *Heart*

No matter how far, or how wide I roam...
I still call Australia home!

Yes, I'm back in Australia and in time to blog! ::dances a little jig:: I can't believe that I'm going to still manage to have a blue month!! YAY!

The flight home was much better, I didn't even feel sick during the landings. I was delayed 2 hours leaving JFK and then again leaving LAX...but I'm home now so I don't care...well almost home...I still have a 5 hour drive ahead of me, but I'm putting that off. Once I got to my uncle's place I had a headache and a bit of a dizzy spell. But I've had a shower now and put some eggs and tea in me, so I'm feeling much better now. Though not up for the drive, probably tomorrow I'll do that.

Please excuse the patriotism above everyone...I don't do it often...well too often, so bear with me...it's at times like this that you really appreciate home.

So Sad...I'm going home and I'll have to miss tomorrow's blog entry because I miss Monday completely coming home....no Monday the 15th for me at all.

*Cry*

No more NYC for me, but then considering how much I've spent that's probably a good thing...I wonder if anyone living here manages to save money...it's like constant shopping here!!

Edited: 1-13-2007 @ 9:44 pm EST

Thought you'd guys would like to see our nails all done up from yesterday...check them out!!

We saw 'The Lion King' last night and it was fantastci...the costumes and set designs alone were amazing, but everything else...Perfection.

Today we went and saw 'The Drowsy Chaperone' and it was hilarious! It's not the kind of musical you can get the sound track from, it's more of an entire production and you'd miss so many of the jokes. I was laughing so hard the whole way through and I'd just like to say...MONKEY!MONKEY!MONKEY! *Laugh*

Sadly, today is my final day in NYC really. Tomorrow I have to get up and finish packing my bag, then off we head to the airport. We'll have to hang around there for a while, but it's going to be so sad...waiting to go. I've had such a fantastic time and now it's pretty much over.

I'll have to be focused on next time instead!

394.  Greenery in the city...ID #480886
Posted: 1-12-2007 @ 4:44 pm EST

Central Park was just lovely to wander through, even in Winter I think it's just great...though admittedly it's a warm winter. The poor little cold ducks hadn't even flown south, and the daffodiles were blooming. I hope they're all okay next week when the cold weather is apparently going to move in.

The leafless trees really have a great atmosphere, and I got some great pics of Trish with the trees in the background and some lovely ones of the city sky line with the trees in front. Also got to see some famous spots like the castle, sheeps meadow and Tavern on the Green. (no we didn't eat there.)

Everyone keeps telling me how overweight Americans are...that the national average is bigger than me, yet I can't seem to buy a pair of jeans. Do big people here not wear jeans? Am I looking in the wrong places? I mean I know I can't buy them at certain places, but this is getting ridiculus! Perhaps it's simiply because I'm in NYC...obviously no one in NYC is big. (or they go to New Jersery to buy jeans as Trish suggests)

Trish and I just got back from having manicures and a pedicure for me. We're looking gorgeous (well Trish is) and ready to go and see The Lion King tonight. Well I'll be looking better after I have my shower, so I'm off to get ready now.

Sadly, there's only one more full day left for me in NYC.

393.  Sing....sing a song...ID #480600

Edited: 1-11-2007 @ 10:44 pm EST

Karaoke rules! Trish and I went to Sing Sing tonight on Avenue A and sang all their RENT songs (wonder how many get the symbolism of that?) and many, many others. We had a great time!!!!

Without intending it to be, today ended up being another big day for shopping, though I really didn't buy anything big. I kept finding little things I wanted and basically couldn't resist cause they didn't cost much. Sadly I know that I have no restraint and I'm not really tempted to change that.

I shouldn't be tempted into spending tomorrow considering our destination, so cross your fingers for me!!

If you haven't already, go and check out the photos Trish put up of us in NYC...there's a great one of her infront of FAO Schwartz...I'm so proud of her for letting me take it. I did all but shove her there. <giggle>

I tried really hard today to find a kitty hamock for Pharaoh, but had to settle for getting some cool toys for him. I've got almost all my presents done now, except my father and I should find something for him tomorrow. *Bigsmile*
