I've just checked the contest, and five people have entered now. Not bad for a contest that's been open a day and a half!

I've been amazed by all the good comments about it, I hadn't expected to get any feedback at all for a few days.
 

Okay, so now I have another judge, two comments (both with five star rating), the entry I mentioned earlier, and two 10k donations.

All after 24 hours? Wow, I though contests went slower than this! I'm glad it's not though, saves me being impatient
 

I only posted the competition late last night, but already I've had two questions, a donation, and an entry! This is going well so far
 

Well, I finished designing my contest and it's all completely ready!

In fact I've just submited "Create a Culture"  to the Contests listings page!

Oooh, now that I've done that I bet no one's going to enter ... or they might ... either way I expect I'll checking each day to see!
 

I've just been writing the first draft of my contest- that was easy enough, but getting it to look good is so hard!

From now on, whenever I look at a contest I will appreciate all the bullet points and flowers and colours used on it.

I've hardly used any writingML at all until now, so I have to look up every single tag I use.

I thinks it's going to be a few days before I open this contest, I've still got quite a bit of work to do to make it look good. Ah well, maybe it will look better once I've started adding in colours.
 

Wow! I won the 'What's in your room?' contest that I was writing for last week!

This is the first time I've ever won a writing competition (I've entered quite a few on another site and am a steady 4th place person) and I'm so happy about it. Plus, the prize from that is huge so it REALLY helps with my gp shortage. 75k points! On all the time I've been here- about six months- I've only saved up 30k!

I got the story written in time for the contest! Actually I wrote two entries and entered two competitions.

I'm still really thinking about starting my own competition though, I've got an idea for it... I might try working on it tomorrow, see if I can get it looking okay. It's a different idea to most of the contests I see in the listings so hopefully I could get a few people to enter. I might have to have an entry fee to help with the prizes though, hopefully a small fee wouldn't put people off. Even if I only asked for 50-100 gps it would help fund the prizes a bit.
 

Hmm, I'm really not good at this blog thing... I keep forgetting it's here.

Well, still thiking about entering contests... yes, I wanted to have actually entered several by now, but apart from a one off entry in the writers cramp I haven't really done anything; and one of the contests I wanted to enter has a deadline in a few hours! I'm still going to try and enter though, I'll probably have more luck with a deadline there.

It's a shame, there was one competition I was really looking forward to entering but it just disappeared :( It was a really good fantasy contest, but it's deffinately nowhere on the site now. Plus I haven't seen any other contests along that line at all, makes me almost tempted to start one... perhaps after I've entered a few other contests anyway. The only hitch with starting my own is affording prizes, but I guess I'd just have to go with a small prize.

Anyway, I should be writing for that competition by now!
 

I've been looking all around Writing.com for some good competitions to enter, and found four or five that look good. Two of them have deadlines at the end of this week though, so I'd better get writing!

I've already started an entry for the Less Than Perfect contest, even though that one has a bit longer to go to the deadline, but hey, I had inspiration for that one so that was what I wrote :) As long as I'm writing something that's the main thing.
 

Okay, so maybe I'm not doing brilliantly so far on the update my blog everyday thing, but hopefully that will improve.

The good thing is that exams are over! So I should have more free time from now on :)

Now I just have to remember to write in this thing everyday...
 

I got through the first exam of the season alright, and already missed a day of updating my blog!

Exams seem to put a bit of dampener on inspiration though, which is a pain because I have a competition I want to enter and the deadline is coming up. I have to write a 10000 word story and I have NO ideas at all- zilch.

Well, if I don't get an idea soon I'll have to start writing regardless, I did say I take part any there haven't been many other entries.

Heh, I was just thinking 'if I save up all my gift points then in about a month I could buy either a three months basic membership or a one month upgraded' when I noticed I had a new email. I checked it and the title was 'You have received an Upgraded Membership!' :) :) :)

Now, I am going to try and keep this updated as much as I can, see if I can get into the habit of blogging :) Everyone always seems to say that you should write every day so even if I can't think of a story to write I can just write an entry!

Lets see how this goes and if I can remember to update everyday... I hope I'll manage it.
