"If you dont knock it off Im going to duct tape you guys to a wall and leave you there!!"
Yup its a common threat around my house. The kids know I'd never do it, but they also know that by the time I threaten it, that they have pushed the envelope just a bit too far and a time-out can't be too far away. I win,

I am a firm believer that duct tape does really hold the world together.

Now some of you may beg to differ with me on that and claim that love is what keeps us together. In some cases you would be correct. Love does bind the heart, but nothing binds bodies together like duct tape.

Ok! Ok! All jokes aside. Seriously.

Im a happily married, mom of three. I share my home with my four kids, four cats, 2 fish and a hamster. Basically speaking, I live in a zoo and I love it.

There are somedays however I just want to ... want to ... duct tape some one to a wall somewhere. And thats where this journal comes is. I write here and don't duct tape noone anywhere.

Besides. This is cheaper than duct tape. And with three growing girls I have to watch my pennies!

2.  On CareBears, Breakfasts and SleepID #442763

I cant even begin to start on my weekend.

I had a wonderful time with my sister on friday evening. Had a great time hanging out and not worrying about anything, at least we try to. Being mom's it isnt easy. There is always something running in the back of your mind, but hey sometimes you just have to relax as best you can. We ended up stumbling onto the local "Rib Fest" and had a good time riding the rides checking out the vendors, and playing the games. Well I played the games. Well one game to be exact. She'e never going to let me live this one down. I won, dont get me wrong. I have a 18 inch stuffed Lucky Bear CareBear. But well lets just say the carnies got me again. HeHe. Im gullable but I had a great time.

Its so nice when you actually cook something you want to eat. Yes folks I did it. I cooked what I wanted to eat for dinner. Mind you no one complained. Breakfast for dinner, both nights this weekend. Got the best of all my worlds! Pancakes bacon, fruit for one night, and sausages, eggs, toast and hash browns the next!

I tell you my tribe would exist solely on peanutbutter sandwiches, and spagetti if I allowed it.

I think this weekend I had too much sleep. I kept dozing off all weekend. Could have been the weather tho. It rained off and on all weekend, no chance to go out really since friday. I worked some on my chirstmas gifts, a tiny bit on my book and mostly i lounged around watching movies with the rest of the clan, and dozing off.

The kids were decent. For the most part, although my oldest is trying my patience on a daily basis. I dont know what she thinks she is going to get out of it but shes still pushing.

I have her doing practice homework, yes Im a mean old mom for homework in the summertime. It isnt that much, and when she does sit down and do it, shes done in like half an hour to forty five minutes. Its a little bit of everything, and believe me shes good at it. Smart kid and Im proud of her. Shes just going into grade one in September and she already understands grade one work, and is reading very well.

My middle one shes doing great in her own time. Shes already got her colour recognition, half her numbers, Knows the alphabets, the only thing with her is you cant push her. She'll just clam up. That my biggest worry with her when she gets to school. A teacher will ask her something and she wont answer. Then they will think that she doesnt know the answer, even though she does. Oh well we have a whole year left to worry about that. That and the other small things. Otherwise shes doing great!

My youngest is a ball of fire. She never stops. I swear to you. Goes and goes and goes. Shes smart as all get out, knows almost as much as my middle one. Her? She aint afraid of nothing. She'll be alright in life so long as she doesnt loose that "meet life head-on" attitude.

*Sigh*

The hubby and I had a great time just relaxing and doing our own things together. We did play a good game of Scrabble 'Upwords' last night over Tim Hortons Ice Capps. Thats life in my world.

Now I have to get back to reality and get doing the laundry, clean up the house. Its always rough on mondays, cos Ive had four kids home to pick up after.

Maybe next weekend I'll duct tape them to a wall and then there wont be so much mess to clean up afterwards. Just a thought *Wink*

Ever had those days when you just can't take it anymoe, kids are at you, boss's boss is breathing down your back, got new and improved business things in the works that need attention in their infancy, you want to work on you novel, you christmas gifts for family and friends? Oh and I forgot you are babysitting an extra kid too and it is raining. This is all aside from the housework.*Worry*

(crap, i think they are jumping on beds again*Angry*.....hang on....nope just running around)

Does it ever stop?

It has really just been one of those days. Life was not being fair to me at all. One kid refused to clean her room, decided to make it worse instead.

Another fell and cut her ear. Dont even ask me how.

Another well she just whines and whines and whines.

The lil guy I was watching kept picking fights with my younger two (oldest was SUPPOSED to be cleaning her room) and then complaining about it when they fought back. I dont get it.

Then I had issues with the folks I do data entry for, my boss doesnt even know what they are on about. To make matters worse, they are telling me to call my bosses boss ASAP, please and thank you as they put it. And I dont even have the number and havent a clue why in the hell they would want to talk to me in the first place, Im just a lacky for crying out loud.

Then I got a new inside sales position, which can make me a ton of money, but I have to actually work to get it making money for me. With everything else going on today I didnt get squat done. No worries there is always tomorrow right?

To make matters worse I couldnt go to my part time job tonight cos the hubby had overtime. He still isnt home, mind you he's on his way, Thank God!

I need a hug.*Worry*

All said and done Im exhausted and beaten tonight. Think I am going to go take a hot bath and drag myself into bed early tonight. Dont even have the energy to write or do the crafts im working on for chrismas (yes I knows its almost half a year away but I have to get an early start on it to get them all done in time. *Smile*)

Thank God tomorrow's friday.*Smile*

Now Can anybody understand why I need my duct tape?*Wink*
