Day 4

I seem to be running one day behind in recording what I've done. I suppose that's my inner brat Carrie saying, "Hey, you didn't say I had to record it everyday, just that it needed typed everyday." :P

So fine, yesterday I posted [Link to Book Entry #601072]

Goal Making

In response to an article I just read on goal writing I offer this current plan for reaching my goal.

Goal Stated Clearly
Become a Published Author

Create a Plan
I will start by redeveloping good writing habits, and finish by submitting stories regularly until I've reached my goal.

New Blog & Things I've Learned

I have a secondary blog now and intend to make an entry today. It's actually a fiction blog where I will write an ongoing story using prompts. I mean for the smae characters to remain throughout. It's in answer to my feeling that it would be fun to write a full novel based on prompts. Wish me luck! You can find the new blog here [Link To It...[Read Full Post]

Not Very Active

It hasn't been a very active week for me. I wrote a short for my group assignment, but I'm not sure I'll use it. It's about the first time a boy asks a girl out. I need to reread it but for some reason I'm avoiding it.

It's been an overall stressful week at work, and all I want to do is read. That's been cutting into my...[Read Full Post]

Thoughts on Email, Groups and Friends

The interesting thing about email is that it is ever giving. You can delete 50 messages on Saturday and return Wednesday to find you have 34 new ones to sort through. It's easy to keep up with on a daily basis, but difficult if you take too long to stop back. Email is a lot like housework.

When it comes to groups I think I fail. A one on one r...[Read Full Post]

Happy to be Back

Although I've been trying to keep up with my campfire commitments I haven't really been active here for sometime. My last big writing accomplishment was my completion of a 50,000 word novel for NaNoWriMo. While I'm proud of the accomplishment I've done no editing what-so-ever and lately I haven't even felt certain if editing would b...[Read Full Post]

I can't believe I did it. I wrote a 50,000 word novel this November. I'm not sure anyone will be able to tell me I can't do anything anymore.

I mean honestly, I didn't start writing until I went to my first write in on Friday, November 9. Before that I was too busy driving from Ohio to Florida, packing my house, unpacking it (a bi...[Read Full Post]

Stuff

As I prepare to move to Florida from Ohio I find myself contemplating more and more stuff. Isn't it amazing how much stuff creeps into our homes when we aren't looking. Take for example the huge plastic bin I've moved all of by pen and paper written fiction into. I don't want to let that stuff go.

Chapter 6 - Reunited

I've written about half of my sixth chapter in the rough. I'm wondering how much of this I'll actually keep. It sets things up but I'm not sure I need six chapters to set things up. On the other hand there is some important stuff in there. At least I see it as important *sigh*.
Game Design

I have a cut scene!

Programing my first cut scene was ridiculously hard. There was a constant timing issue. Using the wait for command to finish command caused the game to stop permanently so I was constantly directing it to wait 10 frames, or 4 or 55 or 15 and changing them again and again. If the characters don't get enough time to move befor...[Read Full Post]

To anyone who's been wondering what I'm doing these days.

I wrote a new piece of fiction:

Today I finished my map of the outer school for the game I'm creating. I also spent a ton of time giving my main character's pixels a face lift. I gave her happy, sad, surprised, blinking, angry and sweatdrop pixels. It's amazing how ...[Read Full Post]
