5.  The Benefits of YogaID #540874

Imagine a relaxed mind and body, stretching on the white sand of a seashore, as a gentle wave washes up to wet your toes. Relax. Relax. Relax. The benefits of yoga are known to surpass those of calisthenics, jogging, isometrics and competitive sports. It's good for weight control, slimming, firming and the relief of tension after a hard day. Emotional stability is vital in our fast paced 2007 lives. It doesn't require expensive equipment, just a towel and water. Always have water handy when excercising. I am not a doctor and this is just a blog, but I believe you should still get 20 minutes of aerobics five times a week for your heart. Take a brisk walk for an hour a day. Get off your buns and save your life.

This is little Pippen, my best friend, Ladyoz's Shih Tzu. This column is about training puppies. As puppies nipping and chasing is cute, but as they get older and bigger, they can frighten even an adult. A single adult with a mellow personality may not experience his or her puppy's nipping. As the dog gets older, he doesn't know that nipping and biting is wrong and may bite a child. I know four friends that were mauled; three were dogs that were known to the victims. The shy adult needs to play rough with the puppy causing it to nip. Then you ignor the puppy and leave the room. He knows that he did wrong. Years later when grandkids play with the dog, he will know not to bite, as he will be ignored and left alone. You must be consistent, not allowing the nipping or biting. With this your wee little friends are safe to play with your dog.

3.  LET'S TALK ABOUT SUCCESSID #540486

You have heard the old saying, "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder." Success is very much like this old saying. Success isn't just one person climbing Mt. Everest or making a million dollars. It's different for everyone as we all have different goals, and values. As we climb Mt. Everest, we can see that if we take one step in the wrong direction, we will lose something of value, maybe our neck. The winner who succeeds to get to the top, may not have anything of value endangered and this is sad. Some of us are destined to sell cars, or wait on tables, but have something of greater value, love. The climber that reaches the top of the mountain is so focused on the ascent that he loses love.

2.  Restless Legs SyndromeID #540284

I understand a popular blog is like a column in a newspaper.

Americans across the nation suffer from insomnia robbing both them and their partner of much needed sleep. Sometimes its anxiety, or sleep apnea. Another cause is restless legs syndrome. This means the persons legs have a strange feeling causing them to move. Feet tap as if keeping the beat to music. The cause is not known according to books I have read. Since this is a blog and not a medical journal, you will get the opinion of a sufferer.

I believe this is caused by vitamin B deficiency and lack of exercise, glued to a computer for years. I always went shopping after work, but shopping and a fast steady one-hour walk are different. This could be caused by the heart and too much cholesterol. The pain is from not enough oxygen going through clogged vains. Get rid of the cholesterol by taking Metamucil, eating bran and oatmeal, and take baby aspirin to thin the blood. Exercise to lose excess weight and increase circulation, and take Vitamin B, which is also to prevent vascular problems along with other vitamins.

Since I have been working at decreasing cholesterol and taking vitamin B along with taking one-hour walks, sometimes with another half hour walk, my legs do not desire to move at night or hurt. If there is a day without bran or oatmeal and the hour walk, my legs again hurt.

If you have the problem of restless legs, try more exercise, lowering your cholesterol and vitamin B. I hope you get more ZZZZZs.

1.  Halloween OctoberID #539947

Hello:

October is always fun, with school beginning and costumes parties. I can't wait to have my own home to have such a party. My favorite costume was as Miss Bank of Italy of 1904, while with Bank of America. One boss dressed as a woman. I felt terrible to answer to phone to hear from an executive client, "I want to speak to the pretty one." Do you know how it feels for a man to be more desireable? Happy Halloween.*Laugh*
