This will be my life in one crazy whirlwind of emotion and degradation. I am lifting my proverbial skirt for everyone to see me in all my glory. So buckle up and enjoy the ride I like to call the "Freak Show."

I know this will sound cold too. But man, I am so sick of hearing about this Natalie Holloway case in Aruba. I swear everytime I accidentally turn on the news....mainly Fox...it has something to do with her. All these thousands of deaths that happen here in the U.S. and all the media can focus on is this blonde haired blue eyed girl. I will say that whatever happened to her, she did not deserve. But don't make her out to be an angel, she was drinking and "hooking up" with a complete stranger or strangers. So she put herself in harms way, so that should be enough to keep the media from reporting how wonderful she was. But it doesn't. We have many many innocent people that die or get maimed her everyday, why don't they report on them. Why don't they report on the utter war zones that are here in Los Angeles? Our priorities are really screwed up.

Is there anyone alive that believes a word that comes out a presidential candidate's mouth? I sure hope not, if so, they should not be allowed to vote.
Why do we as voters put up with this crap? Isn't it obvious that the puppets of these liars are the national media? I had to reorder HBO and Showtime just so I could have some mindnumbing shows to watch. I can't even watch the news anymore because it's always about these con artist that mask themselves as Conservatives or Liberals. It's the biggest con that we have going right now.
They are all crooks, but people talk about how great they are. How is it that Clinton is going to get elected? I always wonder this, she is the biggest crook of any politician this side of Ted Kennedy. Yet there are people out there talking about how great she is. Giuliani uses the thousands of dead from Sept 11 to further his cause. Yet people believe everything he says too.
I really get physically nauseous trying to watch anything these yahoos say. Politics are ruining this country, lie by lie.

That is my quandry. Allow me to explain. My girlfriend has been throwing me hints, some subtle and some not so subtle, about dying my goatee. Basically she wants me to get the gray out of it. Yesterday the not so subtle hint was we walked into a hair salon in downtown Long Beach. She walks right over to the hair and beard coloring for men and starts looking at colors. Not subtle huh.
Well anyway, here's my dilemma. Dye or not to Dye.
If I leave it the way it is, light brown mixed with obvious gray, then I will be a very attractive older man with an amazing body. See I am currently 6'1 and about 215lbs of mostly muscled white male.
If I dye it dark brown or black; then I will be a semi attractive younger guy with a decent body.
See the difference there. Shouldn't I embraced my senescent? Isn't getting old a way of life. Isn't your ability to get older and keep a younger body a commendable thing? It does suck that when you age, you lose hair where you want to keep it and you gain hair where you don't want it. But so what if I have a little gray hair. Should I be embarrassed? Should I listen to the commercials on t.v. that seem to imply that if you have gray in your hair or beard that you will not be able to "score" women? A dilemma indeed.

It finally happened. All this time, I have been hoping to see this...pleading for someone to do this so I could laugh uncontrollably. Then yesterday, as my girlfriend and I were leaving IHOP(terrible place to eat breakfast) I turned to my right and saw it.
An old, possibly senile woman had driven away from a gas pump with the nozzle and hose still in her tank. The hose and nozzle literally ripped away from the pump and tagged along with her car. She was at first oblivious to her new addition to her car. Then finally she noticed this hose smacking against the side of her car.
So she decides to turn back around and go back to the gas station and I would imagine let them know that she took a little souvenir from their little gas station. It made my day, I was laughing all day long about that one. God bless the old people.

This is my first year that I spent Thanksgiving away from my family and friends. See, I just moved here to Los Angeles in March of this year. Every year, except when I was in bootcamp of course, I have made sure to be home in Nashville for Thanksgiving.
Well this year, I went with my girlfriend to her sister's house. It was fun, but it just didn't seem right. Does that make me lazy?
Call me old fashioned, but I AM old school and I believe that Thanksgiving and Christmas are family gatherings. I think it's a time for you to forgive and forget any slights or misunderstandings that you and your family have had throughout the year. It's a time to get together and tell what's new in your life. You get together and watch t.v. shows that you would normally never dare to stop on while channel surfing.
This year seemed different for me. Nevermind the fact that my girlfriend's mother doesn't speak english too well, and I don't speak spanish too well. It's just weird that it was not my family I was with.
The food didn't taste right, because it was not prepared by my Mom. The conversations were awkward because they were topics that I chose, such as sports, instead of conversations that my self-involved brothers initiated.
Am I wrong for thinking this way? Is it just because I am a lone stranger in a foreign country? Yes, to me Los Angeles is a foreign country, compared to Nashville. Will I feel different when I have my own family? I hope so, I missed my Thanksgiving this year.

I passed the dreaded test, with a 91%. Thank god I am a decent looking guy with big muscles though. I think the lady that was giving the test was a little keen on me. She let me take it in her office, allowed me to use my study book and came in periodically and gave me some answers.
Thank goodness she did, because there were so many questions on there that were not in my field of expertise. I surely would have failed this if it wasn't for my female knight in shining armor.

I am 34 years old. I am a director of Provider Service Analysts in California and I have to take a test. Can you believe it?? I have to take a healthcare test called a CPAT for my license. It is totally uselsess and to make matters worse. I have text anxiety, or attention deficit disorder...one of those really bad reasons I should not be taking a test. I am being given a two hour time limit, with nothing to distract me but my number two pencil and the emptiness of the piece of paper staring up at me. I struggled to study this morning...it made for the longest morning of my life. That was with the t.v. on ...the cat running around...and my stomach telling me what to eat. Imagine tomorrow where I will have no television, just my imagination. That is the number one reason why I will fail this test tomorrow. My goodness, I feel like I am 14 years old again.

My little "get together", one of my friends came bearing gifts. A kitten, a black kitten with a smidgen of white. So I call her Yin Yang...she is a personable kitten too. Very affectionate. It's kind of nice to have a pet around here. It's usually just my girlfriend and myself here. So now we have another entity running around the house.
Not sure if I should have another "get together" though. I like having one kitten but I don't want another one.

We are having some friends over to my tiny little one bedroom apartment tonight. We(my girlfriend and I) screwed up by deciding to go to the mall(her idea) at 1:00 this afternoon...the time was my fault...I had to watch my Eagles play football this morning.
So then we have to go to Sams because my friends will be over at 6:30.. So anyway, we get our shopping done at Sams..get in line and BAM!! my membership is expired. Oh my goodness...it's not meant to be. So we scurry over to the membership desk and plead with the young girl to expedite the process because we have to go. Admittedly she did an excellent job. I am writing this as my girlfriend is tearing the kitchen up getting the food fixed...she is doing an amazing job. I am nervous, I usually do not like letting anyone into my humble abode...or my personal life. So needless to say, I am stepping out of my comfort zone to attempt to be a normal guy tonight. Wish me luck...or my girlfriend at least.

My upstairs neighbors were going at it again yesterday. I don't get it, why you would yell, scream and curse at each other where the whole neighborhood would hear you. How embarrassing.
What makes this one funny though is the couple that is doing this. They are a young couple, maybe mid-twenties. The guy looks like a skateboarder, covered in tattoos and wear shorts and flip flops. The lady, well this one is confusing. She is a tiny little Filipina girl. She seems so reserved, so shy. Whenever she walks by anyone she automatically looks down at the ground. Never looks at anyone, or talks to anyone. Well I used to wonder why...now it's come to me. She's got to be absolutely embarrassed at what we hear come out of her mouth. Oh yea, it's not the guy that is belittling her, it's her giving him the mental smackdown. She calls him every name in the book and says it loudly. One day, I will walk by him out in the courtyard of our complex and I am going to whisper to him "dude, what are you doing? Leave her now...take your pride and run!"
