I am attending Baker College. I will blog about my experiences class and student life. My experiences may be different from normal college students, because I am beginning school again 14 years after high school. I have four children and a husband outside of school. Follow me through my first year transition from being a stay-at-home mom, to becoming a full time college student.

This class teaches that we evolved throughout history, that part of our brain evolved from reptiles, and that heredity is responsible for our edictions. On my test today I received 97%. I have an A in the class, and I have incorperated the things I don't believe in my research paper to make my professor happy. I cringe when I have to walk in that class, and I hate that I have to take time away from my husband and children to study for it. How can people actually major in this subject? My hat is off to you! I can barely last ten weeks!

I'm happy to have a class that is just a review. I spend so much time writing in Comp and studying for Psychology, that Math seems to be put last on my to do list. This will not always be able to be the case since math is my major, but for now it is very convienent. While busy writing a research paper for Psychology, a summery and response for Comp, studying for tests, taking care of four children, and packing to move to a new house all in a few day time, I feel overwhelmed quite often. Today in Algebra I received my test back and the 100% seemed just the pick-up I needed to keep going the rest of the day. Now that the day is starting to come to a close, I can look back on the day and feel confident I achieved more today than I thought I would. I can sleep soundly tonight knowing I studied hard for my Psychology tomorrow, my research paper is underway, the children are showered and sleeping, and the trunk is full of boxes. No one ever said college would be easy, but it has to be much easier for single, dorm room dwellers than it is for a mother of four. I'm going to sleep.
