1.  In the Beginning There was Nothing & Then There Were VoicesID #676547
Posted: 11-17-2009 @ 3:03 pm EST

So I have gotten to know this community a bit. I am still embarrassingly incompetent at using all the features on this site, and my computer refuses to cooperate with most of them. (To the lovely gals at the Chat Review Group my apologies for being a thorn in the side and a nuisance, but I can't get chatting to work).

I will get it right eventually, but in the mean time thanks for your kindness and patience all this time. For those of you following a couple of the pieces on my portfolio, you will find updates in this blog on the progress and thinking, and also credit where credit is due to the fine editors helping me to hone the craft and find the voice.

I do want to say that Writing.Com is an essential tool for writers and a wonderfully nurturing forum, and the developers are to be congratulated.

For years I have stifled the voices in my head, telling myself that one day they would be set free, and now, thanks in part to this wonderful forum, they are coming to life and shouting their stories to the four winds. I hope the reader will find the occasional character with whom he or she can relate, and will find a theme worth the time it takes to rifle through my winding prose, and awkward rhyme.

I am doing my best. I will do better.
