Life Can't Be Edited

A blank page. A splash of ink, the scratching of a pen, as words cover the virgin canvas, pouring out the contents of the writer's soul. Or maybe just an entry about a boring day shopping. That's journals for you. Even the author doesn't know where the next day will take them, as life can only ever be unpredictable. Journals are based around reality, not fiction and we all know that real life can't be edited.

I have a cheque for £3000 (around $5000). It's not all I'm owed, but it's a start *Laugh*

And before you all try to get me to treat you to some of the new store merchandise, it'll take a while for the cheque to clear. Not to mention that huge pile of bills I have *Cry*

I shouted at my campaign centre chairman.

The bastards still haven't paid me. Basically we got £3500 from central office, £800 from the association in debt to us but my management team refused to issue a cheque till after the SGM.

I am flat broke so this was not acceptable (today I had to submit my tax return plus make a convention payment). My chairman rang up to say tough, so I shouted at him, told him I was resigning and would have no choice but to take them to court.

Funnily enough they are now running around like headless chickens trying to get me as much money as possible for tomorrow *Laugh*

298.  Didn't have to hand over my resignationID #402370

No, not because I've changed my mind, but because they've called a special general meeting for next friday to try and dissolve the campaign centre that employs me anyway.

I am about to become unemployed.

297.  In accident and emergency in the middle of the night againID #401705

No, I'm not ill. I was with someone else.

Went to another of A's monthly dinners and took a friend with me (who will remain nameless for privacy reasons). She kept having to go to the bathroom during dinner and seemed not at all well. In the end she was passing blood, so we decided it was a good idea to take her to the local accident and emergency to be on the safe side. I drove and we took A. with us to give directions.

Then spent nearly three and a half hours in accident and emergency. We sent A. back to go out drinking with the others as it really didn't need three of us to sit there.

Essentially she has a STD, got antibiotics and told to drink a lot of cranberry juice. She's now asleep in my spare room and I've promised to drive her back to Manchester. Of course I'm now due in work, so I've had to call one of my management team, explain and say I'm taking half a day of holiday leave to sort it out.

These things happen and its not her fault, but boy was it a crap evening!

"To the campaign centre management team,

It is with great regret that I feel I have to hand in my resignation from the Kirklees Conservative Campaign Centre.

Although I have enjoyed my time here immeasurably, the strain put on my personal finances has grown too great. The campaign centre’s cash flow problems have had to be shouldered by myself, and a solution to the problem has been too long in the coming.

Thank you for all your support whilst I have been in post.

Yours faithfully,

It's finally come down to this. I haven't sent this letter yet, I plan to give it in person to all concerned at a meeting next Thursday.

I had an event organised with George Osborne, my local MP, which has just been cancelled due to the machinations of those higher up in the party. It was our one major fundraiser to come. I haven't been paid in months. So there's not really any option Frown

295.  I'm being sued!ID #398593
Posted: 1-11-2006 @ 11:14 am EST

Well okay, I haven't had a law suit taken out against me yet. But it was threatened a week ago and now a formal letter of complaint has been submitted to the party about me.

It's over this by-election and the fact that I wrote an email (which I stand by every word of) saying it was a disgrace that our own councillors were working against the Conservative party. Which they were. The problem lies in proving it.

I am surprisingly unbothered by this. I want the ass hole to leave the party and his irrational behaviour only further reinforces that.

294.  You know you shop somewhere too much whenID #398268

You go into PC World to get another DVD-RW drive, the sales assistant addresses you by name (I spent a lot of time there ordering our computers!) then proceeds to tell you all about his diabetes and how he was faith healed at a ceremony in Birmingham.

I have got to find somewhere else to buy my computer supplies....

Have set up two of them without anything self destructing, now for the third....
