Not Dead YetEntry #584926
Last week I received the strangest thing ever in the mail. The woman who sent it is a complete stranger to me. She lives in a town not too far away from mine though.

It was addressed to "Mr. and Mrs. Robert Worden" (that's my ex-husband's name, btw). So I opened it.

It was a sympathy card!

Inside, the woman (whose name is Shirley) had written:

Connie and family,

I'm sorry to heard that another loved one has died. Love, Shirley.

The kids and I had read it aloud. We looked at each other for a moment in confusion.

Finally I broke the silence.

"Okay", I said. "Which one of us has gone and died and didn't tell me?"

Much laughter.

I have NO IDEA who Connie is. Or Shirley.

I am strongly tempted, however, to write this lady back. Maybe even send her a card. Like a "Congratulations on Your New Baby" or something. Just to let her know that, YES, we are all alive and doing fine thank you.

That was pretty much my excitement for last week. I can only imagine what the mail will have in store for me this week.
