No longer do I work in the Primary Care Clinic at the VA. I work in the Geriatric Clinic now. The pace (and workload) is slower and much more manageable.

My sanity doth return unto me! *much dancing*

Really, I was getting burned out by all the chaos in that clinic. Maybe it's just because I'm getting older *shudder* or maybe it's because I was tired of being taken for granted (everyone would just kinda dump their work on me, 'cause they knew I was good and I'd do it and I was too nice to say "no").

Whatever it was, I'm glad I got outta there.

I've been looking for jobs via the internet lately and have come to the conclusion that I really need to be better educated. Like going back to college to pick up some more skills.

I'm really good working with people, even though I don't really like it that much (can be very overwhelming at times, for me). And I've got okay typing skills. All of which adds up to me being destined to being a freakin' secretary/receptionist. Which I make a damn good one.

But you know what?

I'm quite sick of it. I want to do something completely different (and I'm not just having a Monty Python moment either). I'd like to have a job where I can use my creative artsy talents and not have to answer a single blessed phone.

Anyone got any ideas out there?
