Title: WARNING-rant!

REVIEWING: I say, why bother?

I pour my heart and soul into reviewing others on this site. I literally torment my poor mind before I even consider typing my critique into the comment box and what for?

I am not the best writer as I feel the writing journey is one which never ends as the artistic world is so vast but I know I am not the worst either, yet it seems anything I write is only worthy of a review made up of 20 characters maximum whilst the reviewer's own personal plug far exceeds the actual review.

I do not understand why these people even bother?!

I believe a good review is somewhat made up of:

1. Insightful and constructive advice.
2. Tips and suggestions if needed.
3. comments and personal opinions as to your like or dislike of the item. (Expressed politely of course.)

These are just a few things I take into consideration when taking the time to review someone else and naturally I do not expect everyone else to have the same methods but what am I supposed to do with a review which says: Cute poem/story. I didn't really get it but I enjoyed reading it anyway?

My anger levels are aggravated even further when the review comes with a 3 star rating. What the hell is that? Perhaps a reflection of the quality of the review that was submitted to me?...

It is a complete waste of my time to even bother clicking onto these emails and an utter waste of time for these people to take the mere 30 seconds it took for them to write it up.

JUST DON'T BOTHER.

If you are unable to find the time to provide a fellow writer with a review which at least lets them know you have infact read their item, then put the review on hold until time permits. Considering majority of the people here all share the same passion, writing, each of us is aware of the hard work and dedication in which we fuse into our items. With that being said, why not show some decency, consideration and appreciation for the writer and the time they have invested by applying just a little effort into reviews or simply be respectful by leaving it alone entirely?

For anyone venturing into my port and thinking of reviewing me please know: By all means I am open to your opinion so long as it is expressed in a non-evasive manner, as I bite back and this often offends. I am wide open and willingly welcome interpretations and any and all suggestions you may have to help improve my items, afterall that is one of the main reasons I am here to begin with but please if you are unable to find the time to leave me insightful and productive reviews then do not review me at all. I will appreciate this much more than a half assed review.

I feel this is only fair and just common courtesy.
