17 Days to GoEntry #683713
Well, it's getting close to the two week mark for when we leave Indiana. I've been beyond swamped with client meetings and phone calls since 1/4 as I try to get as many of my securities clients situated as I can before I leave. I'll still manage their accounts but won't be as able to do face to face meetings. It's been a pretty exciting two weeks, just hectic. I'll end up with some very decent commissions this month which is a great way to start the new year right. It'll be at least enough to pay for all of our expenses to get to TX and then some.

Amidst all of that I've also been juggling making arrangements for an apartment, a daycare, daycare assistance, and tying up loose ends here. I've been packing a little bit as well as figuring out what I'm going to donate to the homeless shelter. The apartment I'm renting is a part of their transitional living program so I'm donating almost everything I'm not taking with me or selling for others to use when they come into the apartment. Most people aren't as fortunate as I am to have had as much as I did. Most of it is very easy for me to replace so that's what I'll do once I get to Texas. It's far easier than packing it and trying to find room for it in the car. We're pretty much taking our clothes, some food necessities and that's about it. I've already sold most of the furniture and am just working on selling two printers and a recliner.

I'm having a going away party on 1/30 to celebrate the last four years and expect about 10 - 15 people will attend. Once the party is done, we'll be hitting the road for the long trip south - a little over 1,000 miles. We'll do it in about two days I hope as long as my daughter and the weather cooperates. Hopefully there won't be any serious weather during our trip! Sunshine and clear skies the whole way!
