The past week has flown by. I've been so swamped - business and personal things alike. Today, however, was pretty laid back. I had an eye appointment today so I did that and then did some shopping at the mall. While shopping for an interview-worthy suit to replace my current one, which is about two years old, I got a phone call from a company in Texas wanting to do a phone interview. Considering I was in a dressing room I asked if there was a time we could do it later today and at 3:30 I should be hearing from the recruiter. Talk about amazing timing!

I spent another hour searching for the perfect suit and finally found it in Macy's. It was WAY more than I've ever spent on a suit (I'm usually in the $50 range) even at 50% off but looks amazing. It's a dark red with black accents, a nicely detailed skirt and is very comfortable (it doesn't even make my butt look atrocious which many suits do). I just need to get a black shell for under it, some high heels, some jewelry to accent it and I'll be all set. I'm hoping to schedule an interview for January 26th while I'm down there. I get a small case of the butterflies thinking about that though, it's been at least a year since I interviewed. I hope I'm not too rusty! It should be like riding a bike though and as long as I'm professional, honest, and myself I should do just fine.
