Reina sat quietly in the corner of the tavern watching the other patrons over the rim of her wine glass. Most were the usual tavern rabble that one could see in any normal tavern - drunks, gamblers, and ragged travelers. If Reina was to classify herself into one of these catergories she would say she was a ragged traveler. Her boots were dusty, her cape was slightly torn, and her hat looked like it hadn't been washed since the Genishka War.

The wine glass was soon empty, and Reina rumaged through her pouch absent mindedly for a coin to tip the waitress when something caught her attention. Actually, it was someone. He was a short man, only about 5 feet, with shaggy brown hair and grave eyes that would make a pompous prince shy away, but not Reina. Those eyes brought back memories, and when they met hers they held. Reina drew in her breath quickly as a glimmer of recognition passed those grave eyes. The man started to weave his way through the crowd toward her. "Damn," she thought, "why is he here?"
