Title:
Eulogy
Today, at about five thirty, we buried one of the most loved and caring auntie in the family. My aunt left behind three children, a bereaved husband, and countless others who loved her as much for her cooking but even more for her jolly outlook on life and positive personality.
Though I did not get a chance to say anything at her funeral, I would still like to offer an eulogy for her. To A. Aggie, this is for you.
To our dearest Aunt, I believe that if you were to see us just now, the first thing you would probably say would be: Why are you all sad? I'm with God now. No need to cry la. The next thing (probably upon hearing Uncle's version) would be: My goddaughter, don't cry. Smile. Why you so sad?
Next would probably be about that she's lived her life to the full, and I can honestly say that it's one all of us would agree upon. Aunty was the most generous and unstinting aunt of the whole family. She was also the most jovial. I could not really remember a time when she was too depressed, but there's always room for hope.
Aunty, we all love you. Like the song says (Angel from the Corrs):
Forever, Angel!
We hope they loved you like we do
Forever, Angel!
I hope to be like you!
God bless.
