Title:
WHEN I SHALL PASS BY: a sonnet
WHEN I SHALL PASS BY: a sonnet
A day will come when I too shall pass by.
No longer will my shadow haunt the world.
To meet my dear ones however I try,
Will be something impossible, unheard.
I know not where I shall henceforth be gone,
Nor what in nether world would be my fate.
Shall I forever in hell fire be thrown?
Or, shall I albeit enter heaven’s gate?
Whatever be the fate I need not dwell
In future when present does me beckon.
I have to go for miles before I tell:
“My task is done; for calling me reckon.
Lord I have tried my best to do your bid.
With faith in you, I have done all I did".
