It's freezing in this building. I'm cold, sitting here wearing a long sleeved T-Shirt, a sweater, and wearing my leather jacket, too.
I'm on the second floor, in the corner, surrounded by glass, exposed to the elements, shivering like an eskimo woman after a panty-raid.
A pretty strong cold front has pushed its way down the middle of the country, invading Central Texas, and taking away our early Spring. It's sitting on us now, laughing and telling jokes. We thought maybe we'd be spared any more cold weather this year, but I guess not.
Yesterday, we were looking at perfect golf weather, temperatures in the low 80's, and clear skies. I actually turned my AC on in the car on the way home yesterday! Today we wake up to overcast skies and temps in the forties... and dropping! It'll be in the 30's all day tomorrow, and we may even get some "wintery percipitation" on Sunday. That's what the weather people call it in Texas when they know it'll be cold enough to freeze but they just can't bring themselves to say the words snow and ice.
Wintery percipitation, my foot. This is cold. I'm seriously entertaining the idea of building a small trash can fire under my desk.
Or I could set the building ablaze, and everyone could go home.
Decisions, decisions...
