Title:
MARCH OF TIME: a sonnet
MARCH OF TIME: a sonnet
When all is gone and I am reduced to
Nothing more than an ounce of rotting dust,
You will forget me one day it is true.
Why should remembering me be a must?
We love but our love can’t be permanent;
The march of King of Time is unfettered.
It does nibble away every moment
Of present, which, in the past, is treasured.
My love, when one day you find me no more,
I hope you move ahead from where we are.
That will be a fit tribute to me, sure.
I shall wish you all success from afar.
The march of time is unending, constant.
We must keep on moving every moment.
